An elegant Antique George III Sterling Silver Soup Tureen with an oval baluster form standing on four paw shaped feet with scrolled sides. The Soup Tureen had a pair of impressive reeded handles each with a pair of lion heads where the handles adjoin the body. The rim of the Body of the Tureen is decorated with a classic gadroon pattern border and the lid is further embellished with a patterned border. The domed lid has a reeded handle with stylised leaf decorations. The Soup Tureen has a Sheffield Plate Liner.
Made in London, England in 1808 by Robert Garrard.
