An excellent George II sterling silver soup Tureen with a classic oval form and a stepped domed lid. The Tureen stands on four impressive shell and scroll feet. The Tureen has two acanthus leaf topped handles and is embellished with a gadroon border on the rim. The Tureen has an Armorial on the side while the lid features an impressive finial.

Made in London, England in 1750 by Aymé Videau.
