George III Antique Silver Three Piece Tea Set 1786-1787 Teapot, Cream Jug, Sugar

An unusual antique Georgian solid silver 3-piece tea set in a novel cooper style. Each piece is designed to looked like a stylised wooden barrel with engraved panels and applied reeded strap work. The teapot has a wooden handle and finial, while the Sugar and Cream are both gilded inside The set is unusual in the cream and sugar are oversized.

Made in London in 1786 and 1787 by Robert Hennell.
