An excellent George II Georgian sterling Silver Coffee Pot / Hot Water Jug in a unusual Rococo design. This Coffee Pot boasts some wonderful design elements including an unusual asymmetrical spout and shaped rim to the Pot and fitted lid. The rhythm / spiral fluted design has bands of plain silver alternated with bands filled with floral chasing. The Jug also features a chased cartouche with an engraved crest in the centre. The Jug has a shaped wooden handle.
Made in London in 1756 by Phillips Garden.
