Sterling Silver Pepper and Salt Grinders / Mills Modern Orbs on Stands 2005

A truly magnificent pair of Salt and Pepper Grinders by modern Sheffield based Silversmith Christopher Perry. Each Mill is shaped as an orb and stands alone, but comes with a dark wood stand. The bottom of the orb is plain polished silver while the top has an intricate chased ribbed design carefully chased to encourage the hand to turn the grinder. One grinder had a narrow parcel gilt band around the rim to identify which is which. The ribbed design is continued onto the flush lid on the top of the Mills.
These Grinders are unique and quite special, being functional and sculptural at once.

Made in Sheffield, UK in 2005 by Christopher Perry.

These Mills are in excellent condition with no damage.
