A rare Set of 12 Antique solid Silver & Enamel Place Card Holders / Menu Holders in a black leather fitted case. This set is unusual in that each Name Card Holder has a unique, individual design showing an array of game birds including pheasants, partridge, mallard ducks and grouse as well as fish and fox. The Menu Holders have a round base and a pair of disks sprung to allow easier insertion of the name or menu cards. Each Card Holder has an image created in gorgeous, rich enamelled colours.

Made in Chester, England in 1903 - 1909 by Sampson Mordan & Co and by John Collard Vickery.
