A magnificent oversized Antique Irish George III Silver Lidded Tankard. This Georgian Silver Tankard has a classic baluster shape with a bellied body and standing on a spread pedestal foot. The Irish Tankard has a domed lid with a scrolled thumbpiece which sits above a substantial scroll handle. The Tankard has a substantial armorial engraved opposite the handle. This Tankard is of unusually large size and weight.
Made in Dublin, Ireland in 1783 by Thomas Jones.
