Enormous Antique Victorian Silver Charger Bowl Salver Glasgow, Scotland 1898

A massive Antique Victorian Silver Charger of impressive proportions in an ornate Historismus / Renaissance inspired style. The Borders of this large Salver are embellished with detailed designs including classical faces of Bacchanalian origin surrounded by scroll work and stylised floral and foliate designs. Further imagery shows Griffin Heads, Cherub Heads and Urns. The centre of the Victorian Bowl has a convex polished silver centre. A magnificent piece suitable for display, for use or for presentation.
Made in Glasgow, Scotland in 1898 by George Edward & Sons (David & George Edward).
