A magnificent early 18th Century George I Sterling Silver Lidded Tankard with a classic plain straight sided form. This early Georgian Tankard has an impressive domed lid and substantial scroll handle. The Handle of the Mug has a scroll thumb piece on the top and a shield shaped terminus at the base. The Silver Tanked has a spread pedestal foot.
Made in London, England in 1726 by Benjamin Blakely.
