A magnificent solid silver Art Deco Cup & Cover / trophy. This impressive piece exemplifies the strong design elements typical of the Art Deco period, and is of notably substantial size and weight. The tall Cup stands on a spread pedestal foot and both the foot & body are embellished with chased designs. The Trophy has two handles of considerable size depicting a rider on a horse creates in stylised Art Deco forms. The Lidded Cup has a large fitted lid embellished with chased designs and featuring a tall finial. The interior of the Cup is gilded.

Made in London in 1937 by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths.
