A magnificent Antique Victorian Silver Cup whose shape is inspired by the ancient Grecian 'Skyphos' two handled wine cups. The decorative elements of this Silver Cup are an excellent of the Victorian Aesthetic Movement with beautiful leaves and berries chased around the full body of the Cup in deep relief. The Leaves are highlighted against a stippled background. The Silver Cup has a pair of distinctive circular loop handles inspired by classical designs.
Made in London, England in 1886 by W & J Barnard.
