A magnificent Antique Sterling Silver Gilt Mounted Claret Jug with a truly beautiful cut glass Body of oval form. The Silver Gilt Neck, hinged Lid & Handle have beautiful chased designs complementing the designs on the cut glass. The Jug stands on a lobed spread foot and hand a pierced silver band across the body to secure the glass. The Cut Glass features detailed imagery of birds, flowers and foliate elements which create a beautiful design against the Silver Gilt metal.
Made in London, England in 1903 by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths.

This Silver Gilt and Cut Glass Claret Jug has both Full English Hallmarks and Part Marks.
This Antique Wine Jug is in excellent condition with no damage.
