A magnificent Antique Indian Two Handled Cup & Cover with an unusual spherical form on top of tall column. The body of the Cup is embellished with beautiful chased floral patterns surrounding a pair of round cartouches. The Lid, Foot and Column are all decorated with chased engraved designs. The Cup also has a pair of impressive handles.
The cup was a prize awarded in the 1925 Kolhapur Races and is engraved 'KOLHAPUR RACES SHRIMANT AAI SAHEB MAHARAJA CUP 1925' It is a lidded cup that can be used as a centre piece or as an impressive vase with the fitted lid removed.
