Antique Georgian Silver Argyle / Gravy Warmer Jug London 1781

A gorgeous Antique George III Sterling Silver Argyle (Argyll). This Georgian Gravy Warmer has a classic can shape and is embellished with a traditional bead border on the upper and lower rims as well as around the wooden handle. The Georgian Argyle has a domed push fit lid with a wooden finial. The Argyle has a tapered interior chamber with a small push fit lid to allow the pot to be filled with boiled water to keep the gravy warm. The Argyle has an engraved Crest on the side.
Made in London, England in 1781 by Aaron Lestourgeon.
