Antique Chinese Export Silver Egg Cruet Stand c. 1825 retailed by Wo Shing

A fine Antique 19th century Chinese Export Silver Egg Cruet Stand. The Egg Cruet is of shaped circular form and has six removable Silver Egg Cups, each with a plain, slightly flared rim and are supported on pedestal feet, each with a circular base. Each Egg Cup has small initials engraved.

The cups are arranged around a central openwork frame with a carrying handle above, cast with a shell and acanthus motif. The rest for each individual Egg Cup is embellished with a classic gadroon border. The Cruet Sand has individual spaces to place small Tea Spoons if desired. The Stand is raised on four ball feet with shell details.

Made in Canton, China circa 1825 and retailed by Wo Shing.
