Antique Georgian Sterling Silver Basket 1774 Cake Bread Serving Swing Handle

A magnificent antique George III solid Silver swing handled Cake Basket in a classic oval shape. This Silver Georgian Basket has an elegant pierced pattern on the sides and rim of the body and the pedestal foot. This decorative serving Basket had a beaded rim on the border and a pretty patterned handle. The Basket has a large engraved crest in the centre of the basket.

Made in London in 1774 by Charles Aldridge and Henry Green.
