A beautiful pair of antique solid silver and cut glass claret jugs. The silver mounts on the Jugs are embellished with ornate design elements including a bundle of chased leaves below the spouts and leaves on the finial. This leaf theme is continued around the neck of the jug and onto the scroll handle. The thumb piece on the hinged lids are created in the form of a circular wreaths. The cut glass bodies of the Jugs are embellished with a band of etched leaves. 

Made in Paris, France in 1880 by Boin Taburet.
