A magnificent Antique Victorian Irish sterling Silver Claret Jug with an impressive Rococo inspired spout and spread foot at the base. The Jug also has a rich chased floral design on the body above a band of stylized acanthus leaves. The hinged lid has a complementary shell design.
Made in Dublin, Ireland in 1834 by Robert W Smith.

This Claret Jug has a full Irish Hallmark on the base.
The Claret Jug is in excellent condition with no damage.
