Antique Georgian Sterling Silver Argyle Gravy Jug 1772, 18th Century

A fine antique George III Sterling Silver Argyle with an elegant straight sided design. The Lid of the Gravy / Sauce Argyle has a beaded rim and an decorative finial. This 18th century Argyle has a wooden handle and a small crest engraved on the side. The Argyle is double skinned with a space to add hot water to maintain the temperature of the gravy.
