Rare Vintage Silver, Shagreen & Wood Cuttlefish Sculpture Centrepiece c. 1950

A magnificent and unique Cuttlefish Sculptural Centrepiece made from Silver, Shagreen and Wood. The Cuttlefish has a green shagreen body mounted wish a silver head and embellished with a silver band around the body. The Shagreen Body features a removable lid with a small silver octopus medallion and a shaped silver band. The Cuttlefish has large cabochon Tigers Eye Gemstone Eyes. The Cuttlefish has stylised tentacles made from a natural polished chunk of wood. These elements combine to create a unique and compelling item, couple with the impressively large size make for a striking piece.
