An exceptionally heavy antique Russian Alexander II solid Silver Beaker. The Beaker has a tapered cylindrical form supported by a panelled cylindrical base. The Beaker has an engraved crest on the one side including a count's coronet and on the other side the engraving reads Rudolf 28 December 1864.

This Beaker was made in Odessa, Russia in 1864. The beaker was made by Herbert Herest of Mitava and was assayed by Vasily Matveevich Lanshiya.

This beaker is in excellent condition with no damage and a wonderful patina commensurate with age.

The Beaker has full clear Russian Hallmarks on the base with assayers mark of Vasily Matveevich Lanshiya , Herest’s mark struck twice, one of which overstriking that of another probably for ?? (unidentified, active 1863-1907, possibly G. Tsitrin). A standard mark near rim.
