A magnificent set of four solid Silver Wall Sconces for Candles in the late 17th century William III style. This set of four Candle Sconces are a special commission piece retailed by James Robinson of New York but made and hallmarked in England. The Wall Sconces have ornate back plates with a floral and scroll background supporting a pair of cherubs and including a pair of eagle heads, all surrounding a polished central cartouche. The Sconces are supported by elegant knopped branches and are decorated with a classed beaded rim.
These wall sconces are exceptionally heavy and are of excellent quality.  

Made in London, England in 1972. Hallmarked for James Robinson of New York.
