Large Antique Sterling Silver Continental Dish / Bowl London Import Mark 1898

A magnificent Antique solid Silver Bowl with a unique shape and decorated with an ornate chased design on the body and a dramatic scrolled rim on the one side. The scrolled rim is balances by an elegant everted rim on the opposite edge. The body of the Bowl features two oval cartouches with chased cherub designs in the centre surrounded by full chased floral designs.
Made in Germany. English Import mark for London, 1898, imported by John George Smith.
