A rare George III Antique sterling Silver Basket with a frosted white glass liner. This Georgian Silver dessert serving Basket stands on four claw feet with acanthus leaf mounts. The Body of the Basket features an interlaced, lattice-style pattern that repeats evenly around the body, allowing light to pass through and emphasizing the delicacy of the metalwork. The base of the basket has an applied leaf border. The glass liner is of thick, heavy weight glass and has a cut star burst pattern in the base. This elegant Basket is perfect as a centrepiece, serving bowl or fruit basket.
