GEORG JENSEN SILVER JUG - DESIGNED BY JOHAN RHODE 1945 - 77 432E

A magnificent Solid Silver Jug with a dark wood handle by Georg Jensen and designed by Johan Rohde. The elegant form of the jug is subtly augmented with a hammered finish adding to the smooth curved design. The Jug is marked with the design number 432E, and was designed by Rohde in conversation with Jensen in c. 1920. This design was well ahead of its time, but has proven iconic, and an inspiration for many designs to follow. Made in Denmark by Jensen in c. 1945 - 77 Approx. Weight - 626g / 20.1oz Approx.
