A magnificent Antique William IV Solid Silver Soup Tureen of particularly substantial size and very heavy weight. The Soup Tureen stands on four substantial Scroll feet with large scroll handles of the same style. The Lid has a wonderful scroll handle. Both the Body of The Tureen and the Lid both feature a gorgeous engraved crest with the motto 'IN VIA FREMIT' and the initials JF engraved below. Date - 1836. Made in London. Maker - Benjamin Smith.
