An elegant Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Inkstand with two Silver & Glass Inkwells and a Silver Chamberstick with a box below. This Ink Stand is of excellent quality and heavy weight and stands on four ornate feet with pen rests on either side of the central jars. The Silver Mounted Ink Wells have a hexagonal shape and have facted hexagonal lids with engraved detailsing and nice finials. The central Solid Silver Chamberstick Candle Holder has a scroll handle and a fitted Snuffer. The central compartment below the Chamberstic is engraved - In recognition of his Publis Services as Bridgemaster and Surveyor of the County of Cheshire and to mark the high estimation of his Private Character. This Inkstand was presented to T.A. Yarrow Esq.r C.E. In the January Quarter Sessions. 1847. Date - 1846. Made in Sheffield. Made by - Hawsworth & Eyre. Approx. Total Weight - 1482g Approx.
