An elegant Georgian Sterling Silver Teapot on Stand in a classic oval can shaped form. The Teapot has a hinged domed lid and a mid brown wooden handle and finial. The body of the Teapot and the domed lid feature elegant bands of bright cut engraved patterning, while both sides of the teapot feature large ornate engraved cartouches. The centre of one cartouche contains a crest while the other has an engraved initial C. The Teapot stands on a matched oval tray standing on four feet. The tray is engraved with a matching decorative border and ornate cartouche. Date - 1792. Made in London. Made by - Peter & Anne Bateman. (Tray shows over struck Makers Mark) Approx.
