An impressive Antique George III Georgian Solid Silver Cup & Cover with a classic baluster shape standing on a tall pedestal foot with two substantial scroll handles. The Cup has a domed fitted lid topped with an impressive finial. The body of the cup, foot & fitted lid are all embellished with a chased, stylised shell pattern. There are light traces of the original lemon gilding visible in the recesses of the chasing, adding to the overall wonderful patina of the cup. The interior is richly gilded. The Side of the Cup features an large engraved armorial showingthe arms of Croft quartering Warring impaling Cowper for Sir Arther Croft 3rd Bt of Croft Castle. CONDITION
