A magnificent Antique Solid Silver Inkstand with a removable Ink Well, Sand Shaker & Bell. This Rectangular Inkstand has a classic gadroon border and the interior of the stand is decorated with deep shell, scroll and floral pattern and stand on four scroll feet. The Stand has a pair of pen rests recessed into the stand. The stand has fitted removable inkwell & sand shaker both engraved with matching patterns. The centre of the Stand has a matching engraved hand bell. Made in London in 1749 by Thomas Gilpin. Approx Weight - 1642g / 52.7g Approx. Length - 30.6cm Approx. Width - 22cm
