A lovely George II Georgian Sterling Silver Tea Caddy Box with a shaped oval form. The Caddy has a domed closely fitted lid with a cone shaped finial. The base has a sliding removable panel to allow for refilling the caddy with ease. The shoulders, upper portion of the body and fitted lid are embellished with a decorative floral chased pattern. There is also an engraved crest on one side.
Date – 1756.
Made in London.
