A spectacular Viennese Enamel & Silver Clock with a champleve Enamel Dial featuring Roman Numerals on the Roundels. The back of the face of the clock shows a wonderfully detailed image of the mythological Rape of the Sabine Women in gloriously bright coloured Viennese Enamel. The Foot of the Clock is also covered with Viennese enamelled classical images. A Silver Gilt & Enamel Camel Stands on a pedestal on the domed foot, and supports the clock-face on its back. The clock face also has a majestic eagle figure on the very top.
The Clock Movement is an earlier fusee movement, which has free movement but is not in working order.
