ANTIQUE IRISH VICTORIAN SILVER ARMADA JUG / CLARET WINE JUG DUBLIN 1864

An impressive Antique Irish Silver Armada Jug. This Beautiful Victorian Claret Jug features the classic Armada Design with a bellied body covered in chased and applied decorative elements including floral swags and scroll patterns and a pair of large un-inscribed cartouches each with a pair of mermaids flanking them. The Jug has a mechanism within the handle to lift the lid when squeezed.
Made in Dublin, Ireland in 1864 by John Smythe.
