A magnificent early 19th Century Antique George III Solid Silver Cup & Cover with a richly gilded finish. The body of the Trophy is stands on a chased & fluted pedestal foot and is embellished with applied acanthus leaf and floral decoration around the base of the body. Both Sides of the Cup have large blank oval cartouches surrounded by an applied laurel wreath design. The top of the Cup has an ornate scroll and floral band below the rim. The Cup has two large handles shaped as grape vines and topped with applied vine leaves. The Cup has an impressive fitted lid with a tall cone Finial.
