A magnificent antique George IV solid Silver Soup Tureen with an elegant chased quilted design. This round Silver Serving Tureen has Rococo elements perfectly accenting the quilted pattern on the body, with bold shell handles and a shell pattern border. The Tureen stands on four ornate scroll feel. The Tureen features an impressive floral finial on the lid. The Soup Tureen has a fitted silver liner. The lid, body and liner all have a pair of matching crests engraved on them.
This Tureen is of notably fine quality and an excellent weight.

Made in London in 1827 by John Crouch.
