A wonderful Antique solid Silver Wafer Box with a pull off lid inscribed with a lovely engraving. The body of the Box also opens full to be able to fill the box easily. This Communion Box is engraved NEC ME VIS DIVIDET ULLA and an image of an arm brandishing a sword emerging from a cloud and cutting through flames on a plinth. There is detailed text in what appears to be German below this, but closely engraved and difficult to read. The edges of the Box have a crimped pattern.

Made in circa 1690-1700 in possibly Augsburg, German. The marks on the back of the Box resemble the Augsburg Mark and the makers mark has a w in a heart.

This Wafer or Communion Box is in excellent condition with no damage.
