A spectacular pair of antique George III Paul Storr solid silver entree dishes on separate Sheffield plate warming stands. The sterling silver entree dishes feature a base with an impressive shell and gadroon border and a fitted lid with a tall domed shape and a chased fluted band below the dome. The lid shows an engraved crest showing the arms of Shakerley, topped with a hare supporting a garb. This image is mirrored in the magnificent finial on the top of each dish showing the hare supporting the garb rendered in wonderful detail.

The stands are old Sheffield plate and made by Matthew Boulton & Co. in circa 1810. The base is mase from a four legged stand with claw feet supporting two dishes. The base dish has a fluted design and is filled with hot water. There is a plain dish which fits into the base dish and supports the silver entree dishes and prevents them from getting wet.
