A gorgeous antique Victorian solid silver & glass butter dish. This butter dish has a frosted glass body standing on solid silver under plate and with a domed silver lid. Both the plate and the lid are embellished with gorgeous ornate engraving including floral and scroll motifs. Each has a small engraved crest displayed.

Made in London in 1853 by Robert Hennell.

Measures: Approximate diameter of plate 16.6 cm
Approximate diameter of bowl 13.6 cm

Signed/inscribed: Full English hallmarks on both lid & plate.
