1860 England
A magnificent pair of Antique Victorian Solid Silver Ewers with classic baluster shaped bodies and each standing on a spread pedestal foot. Each Jug is decorated with intricate applied vines with detailed leaves and grapes wrapping around the bodies and necks of the Jugs. The Handle of the Jug is made in the style of a vine branch and joins up with the applied vines to create an elegant design. These impressively detailed applied vines contrast elegantly with the plain highly polished bodies of the jugs to create a beautiful piece. Each jug has a small crest and monogram engrave don the hinged lid.
