Large Antique Sterling Silver Epergne / Centrepiece Sheffield, 1914

A magnificent antique solid silver epergne centre piece to ornament any table. Standing on an impressive oval pedestal base supported by four ornate feet, the epergne has a large oval central basket and two smaller oval baskets extending out on curved branches. The central basket supports a tall trumpet shaped vase. The epergne is embellished with a rich chased floral and foliate design and detailed pierced patterning. The pedestal base is richly chased around large oval cartouches.
