A gorgeous vintage solid silver and enamel cigarette case featuring a beautiful enamel image of a dog on the cover. The image is created in deep, rich colors and with a wonderful attention to detail. The images shows a hunting dog, possibly a Borzoi Dog. The interior of the cigarette case is gilded and is engraved with lines from Lord Byron's Poem Epitaph To a Dog. The lines read - One Who possessed Beauty without Vanity, Strength without Insolence, Courage without Ferocity, and all the Virtues of man without his vices.

Made in Birmingham in 1928 by Adie Brothers.
