A gorgeous vintage Solid Silver & Enamel Cigarette Case featuring a beautiful Enamel Image of a Dog on the Cover. The Image is created in deep, rich colours and with a wonderful attention to detail. The images shows a hunting dog, possibly a Borzoi Dog. The interior of the Cigarette Case is gilded and is engraved with lines from Lord Byron's Poem Epitaph To a Dog. The lines read - One Who possessed Beauty without Vanity, Strength without Insolence, Courage without Ferocity, and all the Virtues of man without his vices.

Made in Birmingham in 1928 by Adie Brothers.
