1972 London
A spectacular large Modernist Solid Silver & Silver Gilt Centre Piece or Bowl with an adaptable candle holder in the centre. This centre piece is created by the preeminent Modernist Silversmith Christopher Lawrence in his quintessential style. The Bowl has a gorgeous textured open work removable cover with a silver border. The very centre of this gilded cover has a flat textured cover which is removed to reveal a candle holder suitable for a taper stick. This can further be removed for a wider holder / opening. The Bowl which forms the base of the centrepiece is a simple elegant design with a gilded interior, which could certainly be used separately if desired.
