RARE EARLY CHARLES II ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER LIDDED TANKARD YORK 1674

A rare 1674 Solid Silver Lidded Tankard made in York. This classic striaght sided Tankard tapers slightly toward the rim and is embellished with a simple, elegant stylised Chased leaf pattern around the lower third of the sides. The Tankard has a substantial scroll handle and a flat hinged lid with a good sized thumb piece. Date - 1674. Made in York. Maker - Marmaduke Best. Approx. Weight - 776g / 24.95oz Approx.
