A gorgeous Silver Mounted Claret Jug with a deep purple jewel toned glass body. The Solid Silver Neck leads to a elongated spout embellished with an ornate chased design showing the traditional Bacchus Face surrounded by chased patterning. The substantial Scroll handle and thumb piece are designed to look like the curved torso and face of a woman. The hinged lid and entire neck of the Claret Jug are further embellished with chased detailing. Date - 1901. (Edwardian). Made in London. Maker - Charles Boyton. Approx. Total Weight incl.
