A lovely Early Georgian George I Solid Silver spoon handled Snuffer Tray. The Tray has a crest engraved in the centre. This Snuffer Tray has an elongated oval form with a substantial spoon handle. The tray stands on three ball feet and the curve of the handle acts as a fourth foot.
Although Snuffer Trays were originally used to hold Snuffers, now they are used for Pen Trays, Trinket Trays and Cufflink Trays.
Date – 1717.
Made in Dublin, Ireland.
