A rare Stuart Devlin Surprise Egg with the exterior formed from a modern open work silver gilt cage and a central octagonal hinged opening. The cage reveals a large raw rose quarts stone held in the centre of t he egg by a stylised silver gilt horn shaped mount. An exceptionally large and heavy example of the iconic Devlin Surprise Egg, this version seems mysterious and a little mystical.
