A wonderful Antique Victorian Butter Dish with a Solid Silver Plate / Base and a Solid Silver Lid. The Butter Dish has a frosted cut glass bowl. The Lid features a large Cow shaped Finial created with a whimsical attention to detail. The Lid and under plate are both embellished with ornate engraved designs including an crest on the under plate and a presentational message on the lid.
Date – 1843.
Made in Sheffield.
